This policy explains how Parking Practice (https://parkingpractice.com/), a browser-based 3D parking simulator, handles your information. It applies to the site in all of its language and regional versions.
The simulator itself runs entirely in your browser. You do not need an account to practise: every visitor gets a free allowance of practice time (a daily limit with a monthly cap), and using it creates no record on our side and is not tied to any identifier we hold. If you never sign up, we hold no account for you at all.
You only give us personal data if you choose to create an account. Depending on how you sign up, we store:
openid email profile scopes. We never see your Google password. If you already registered with the same email address, the Google login is linked to that existing account.Subscriptions and one-off passes are processed by Stripe. Card numbers, billing addresses and any other payment credentials are collected by Stripe on its own hosted checkout page and never reach our servers. What we store on our side is limited to: your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, the plan you are on, its status, the current period end date, and whether the subscription is set to cancel.
Invoices, receipts and payment history live in Stripe and are handled under Stripe's Privacy Policy. You can cancel or change your subscription at any time through the billing portal linked in your account panel.
If you are signed in with an active subscription, each finished practice run is saved to your account so that the progress page can show your history. A record contains only gameplay facts: which drill you practised, the hint mode, how many seconds it lasted, whether you passed, the outcome (completed / failed / abandoned), the number of collisions and corrections, how many forward and reverse moves you made, and the timestamp.
The simulator has no camera, microphone or location access, and we do not record video, audio, screen recordings or your real-world position. Free users' practice runs are not saved to any server.
The simulator uses your browser's local storage to hold your preferences and its own operating state between visits. What it keeps is limited to:
This is ordinary application state, not a profile of you: it stays on your device, is not transmitted to us, and contains no advertising or tracking identifier.
Where local law requires consent, no analytics or advertising cookie is set until you give it: a banner asks first, and if you decline, none of those scripts are loaded at all. You can change your answer at any time through Cookie settings in the footer of any page — withdrawing consent also clears the analytics cookies already stored.
We use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used and which parts of the tutorial people get stuck on. These services collect standard internet log information (IP address, approximate location derived from it, device and browser type, referring page) together with behavioural events such as page views, clicks, scrolling and which drills were started. Microsoft Clarity may also reconstruct anonymised session replays and heatmaps of page interaction.
We use this only in aggregate, to improve the product. We do not attempt to re-identify individual visitors from it. See Google's Privacy Policy and Microsoft's Privacy Statement. You can opt out of Google Analytics entirely with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Some pages of this site may display advertising served by Google AdSense and its partner networks. Google is a third-party vendor and uses cookies — including the DoubleClick DART cookie — to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites on the internet.
Third-party ad servers or ad networks use technologies such as cookies, JavaScript or web beacons in the advertisements shown on Parking Practice. These are sent directly to your browser, which automatically discloses your IP address to them, and they are used to measure advertising effectiveness and to personalise the ads you see. Parking Practice has no access to and no control over the cookies used by third-party advertisers.
You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ad Settings or read the Google advertising policy. Industry-wide opt-outs are available at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu.
A feedback widget provided by FeedbackHi is loaded on our pages. If you submit feedback through it, the content of your message and anything you choose to add — such as a name or an email address — is transmitted to and stored by that service so we can read and reply to it.
Account emails (address verification, password reset) are sent through a specialist email-delivery provider, which processes your email address only for the purpose of delivering that message.
We send promotional emails, such as an occasional discount on your first payment, only if you tick the box asking for them when you create your account. The box is unticked by default, and we record when you ticked it. Every promotional email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also opt out by writing to contact@parkingpractice.com. Unsubscribing does not affect account emails. We never sell or rent email addresses.
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the providers needed to run the service, and only as far as each one needs it to do its job:
Each of them acts on our instructions under a data-processing agreement, and none of them is permitted to use your data for their own purposes, except where a service named above operates as an independent controller under its own policy. If you would like to know which specific companies we use, email us and we will tell you.
We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so, or where it is necessary to investigate fraud or abuse of the service.
Account data and practice records are kept for as long as your account exists, and are deleted when you delete it. Session rows expire automatically. Payment records are retained by Stripe for as long as tax and accounting law requires, independently of your account. Analytics data is retained by Google and Microsoft according to their own retention settings.
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on it. Account deletion is not yet self-service: email contact@parkingpractice.com from your registered address and we will delete your account, practice history and associated records within 30 days, except for what we must keep for legal or accounting reasons.
If you are in the EEA or the UK, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you are a California resident: we do not sell personal information for money, and you can opt out of personalised advertising through the links in section 8.
This site is intended for learner drivers and general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or under 16 in jurisdictions where that is the applicable age). If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Our providers operate globally, so your data may be processed on servers outside your own country, including in the United States. Where required, these transfers rely on the safeguards offered by those providers, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
All traffic is served over HTTPS. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, session cookies are HttpOnly and signed, and no card data ever touches our servers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will notify affected users of any breach that legally requires it.
We may update this policy as the service changes. The "Last Updated" date at the top always reflects the current version; material changes will be announced on the site.
Questions about this policy, or about the data we hold on you: contact@parkingpractice.com.
